Join us at our October Branch Meeting

  • Welcome Kristyn DiDominick, Executive Director for the Bucks Mont Collaborative

The Bucks-Mont Collaborative is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to fostering information and resource sharing, dialogue, and collaborative action that produce results-oriented impact on health and human services issues in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

They partner with members and community through three core services: collaboration (hopefully AAUW Lansdale), education, and advocacy, as well as strategic initiatives, such as the multi-year, cross-county Racial Equity Learning Community and Bucks-Mont Trauma Coalition.

Kristyn plans to share more about the Collaborative and provide detail about their current work.

Services that the Collaborative are engaged in are advocacy, collaboration, training, trauma awareness and racial equity.

In addition to our guest speaker, the agenda will include

  • Tech Minute - accessing folders in the Members Area and revisit looking at the Branch calendar

  • Strategy Revisit Findings - learn about the results of last year’s efforts to refresh our strategy from Karen Maglaty, our fabulus facilitator for the process

  • Purchase AAUW t-shirt (Amy Ryan Faga) and Boscov’s shopping pass (Karen Holmes)

  • And more!

    girls on average each year from 50 Schools in 4 counties at STEM for Girls - Discover Your Future, our all-day event since 1993 hosting interactive workshops conducted by outstanding women professionals who serve as leaders and role models in STEM fields

  • 24 YEARS

    of donations to organizations that help disadvantaged women get back on their feet through a program we call The Women’s Project

  • OVER $7,700

    total for books and materials that help celebrate Women’s History Month donated since 1973 to all schools (17) in the North Penn District

  • 40 YEARS

    of scholarships totaling over $150,000 given to high school seniors

  • OVER $12,000

    in Higher Education Scholarships awarded to deserving female non-traditional students since 2020

  • OVER 500

    third grade students mentored by AAUW branch members through the exchange of letters as well as a book for the child allowing them to practice their reading and writing skills in our Write Read Write program, started in 2002

  • $100 EACH

    for a special award to a female middle school and high school student at the Montgomery County Science Research Competition since 2018
