Privacy Policy
This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the Lansdale branch of AAUW and applies solely to information collected by this website, except where stated otherwise. Effective Date: August 21, 2021
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to any business.
We will use your information to provide membership services to you. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary, e.g., to send you an email or to bill you for membership.
We will contact you via email in the future to tell you about upcoming programs and other news. Note that we use email as the primary and often the only way to communicate with members. Therefore a request to unsubscribe from email will essentially deny you most information about the organization.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address provided on our website:
See what data we have about you.
Change/correct/delete any data we have about you.
Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon in your web browser or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only individuals who need the information to perform a specific function are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Notification of Changes
Whenever material changes are made to this privacy policy we will notify you.
If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via via email.
Registration
In order to join the branch, a user must first complete a membership form which asks for certain information (including name, address, telephone number and email address). This information is used to contact you about the programs available to you as a member.
We do not request, handle, or store any credit card information. Any online billing is done by a third party (currently PayPal) with its own privacy policy.
